MySQL on Windows

Whenever I try to install InvisionBoard, I get this error:

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user: 'gamehead200@127.0.0.1' (Using password: YES) in C:\Program Files\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs\board\sm_install.php on line 395

I know the password, I know what database to use...So what's the **** problem?

Have you created the database name within MySQL yet?

I've tried IBF on MySQL v4.0.12, and it won't work, giving the error you mentioned.

Stick with v3.23.51

Created the database...I'll try the older version of MySQL and see what happens...

You probably only allowed localhost, so you must use gamehead200@localhost .
