vanderkar Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 Could someone please help me, I have win Xp installed and iu also installed all patches from windows update. And now i want to configure a manual IP by entering the network properties, but when i open my network places properties was empty, so then i went to see services.msc and the service network connections was stop or havent started, so i tried to start it and it gave the error 127 procedure not found.and i think that is the problem why i cant see any local area connection or the network card that i have installed on my computerSo my question is? does someone know what this error 127 is? or what can i Do?Do i need to reinstall win xp again?Thansk for your help.Vanderzan
eyeball Posted November 18, 2005 Posted November 18, 2005 if you cannot see the Local Area Connection in network places then i would first suggest checking device manager and being 100% sure that the network card is installed correctly. if it is then i would run services.msc and start all of the services on the machine, that way you will eliminate services as a factor.if you start them all and restart your machine and you can see the Local Area Connection then it was definatly an error relating to services.then i would simply one by one turn off the services you dont need to eliminate uneccessary overhead, and if your unsure ask here, somebody will gladly help you thank you
