papster_kat
Hi EveryoneI would really appreciate some help with a problem i have:I have installed Windows 2000 SP4 on a pc from a server over the network, and it seemed to go perfectly well although now when i log on to test the system it throws up the following error 'ORDINAL 175 COULD NOT BE LOCATED IN THE DYNAMIC LINK LIBRARY USERENV.DLL'The system then just hangs at this point. Has anyone got any idea why this would be happening, i am guessing the file is corrupt or maybe missing.
cluberti
If you can't get the system to boot, you won't be able to do an sfc /scannow. However, if you've got a W2K SP4 CD, you can most likely boot to that, run the recovery console, and replace the file on disk with the one from the CD. That should get you into your box (you'll probably still want to run sfc, just in case).
-I-
of what i saw on some usergroups, this seam to be acouring quite often on windows 2k sp4 but the only posible solusion i found poeple use was, getting thie userenv.dll file from the net, boot in safemode and copy it to system32 folder and reboot system. - try it, - it might just work...
