Zxian Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 I'm getting a warning (shown below) whenever Outlook starts and connects to my IMAP inbox. Is there any way for Outlook not to bother me with this? I've tried to find the setting for this, but no luck. It's my university e-mail, and most of their systems are running UNIX, so I'm not sure if there's any reason for a security certificate. Thanks in advance.
chilifrei64 Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 You need to download and install the certificate from their CA's enrollment webpage in order to stop seeing this message. You must open this webpage with IE becasuse that is what Outlook uses.
Zxian Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 Are you talking about the security certificate that get asked about when I go to view the webmail on the site? (http://www.phas.ubc.ca/ -> WebMail)I've done that and I don't get a warning in IE anymore, but Outlook still complains.
chilifrei64 Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 do you have it going through smpt's normal port or the smtp ssl port 465?
