pawan
I used MS Outlook in our office, it was working great (2000 + mails) without any problem, but now it is configured through proxy, that's when the problem begins. Now internet is working but I am unable to send recieve mail through Outlook. There is no configuration in outlook to set the proxy settings (proxy server is 192.168.10.5:8080)Can someome plese suggest any idea about this one? My mail server uses SSL POP3.Thanks,Pawan
chilifrei64
Outlook uses your internet connection properties to get pop mail. Most likely, your proxy is filtering the ssl smtp. Proxy's sometimes have that effect
pawan
Can I simply bypass the proxy? How?Pawan
chilifrei64
if policies permit. yes.. from inside internet explorer go to tools -> internet options -> connections -> lan settings and uncheck the box that says use proxy..now... if your network is configured to use the proxy server as the only way out to the internet.. you will be out of luck
