i have 50 new laptops with xp sp2,

they have modem and i have created a ppp diap up connection for one of them.

i do not want to manually make all the 50 connections.

how can i make a script or some sort of batch program to do this.

please help

Install CMAK on the server (add remove components)

then run the utility and configure the connection

in the end it will create an executable that will create the dialup connection.

the problem is my boss wont let me touch the server at all (using NT 4.0) ...oldschool

for him all IT is a dreamland and i am the deliverer ..

he has asked me to create an .exe or .bat file so that when the user executes it, it automatically creates the PPP connection

is there any third party of anything in XP Pro...

You use the CMAK to do this. That's why it exists . Otherwise, you could do this with a product like AdminStudio or some other .msi repackaging program. It's much easier with the CMAK, but it can be done otherwise - it's a PITA to do this without using the CMAK though .

where can i download CMAK from...is it available on WIN XP Prd setup cd...or the microsoft website.
