Assign IRQ for Geforce 3

What slot do i assign the irq in my bios , so my vga card will have its own irq? thanks...im running xp pro

You shouldnt assing one for your card. It will probaby take IRQ 11 (thats the main universal IRQ). You should just let windows sort them out. I wouldnt assing anything.

[b:11a3c56851]drewdatrip[/b:11a3c56851] - you should never have your Vid card sharing a IRQ, So he probaly wanted to make sure XP was going to do this, By assigning the IRQ it prevents this. Of course you should only assign if your IRQ's are messed up, never do it from the begaining.

Yea i know that...but wont your Vid card do that by is self...i have never heard of having to set it yourself:eek:

Your video card wont but your OS will, BUT some people have conflicts and sometimes the only way to get ride of those conflicts is buy setting it.

Windows 2000/XP gives everything the same IRQ and then sorts it out somehow, and I'm not too certain on how, and why, as I haven’t had to check for the reasoning behind it :) ...

I think it would be on MSDN though.
