Hi ... I am curious about windows 2000 pro , Is there 2 different sp4 ? One being the original and the new one which is this Microsoft Releases Windows 2000 Update Rollup sp4 ... Also I am interested in slipstream up to the latest which is I believe Microsoft Releases Windows 2000 Update Rollup , correct ? Now I know there has been more updates since this latest sp4 , My question is when I extract sp4 with windows 2000 from the comman prompt , Can I also do this with the updates which came out after sp4 , More or less place them altogether onto a windows 2000 disk , I guess what I am trying to say is , When I extract sp4 , Can I also extract the other updates one at a time , So I will have it altogether with windows 2000 pro ? Or it doesn't work that way I can only slipstream windows 2000 with sp4 only , Can someone please tell what is the right way ? Thanks

You need Service Pack 4 and Update Rollup for SP4. The later is a rollup of updates which were released after Service Pack 4. The Update Rollup requires Service Pack 4 so you need both.

Tommy P wrote HFSLIP which can integrate all the updates for you - even the seperate updates relased after the Update Rollup, giving you your very own fully updated Windows 2000 disk.

Gurgelmeyer has made his own Unofficial Service Pack 5 which includes SP4 + Rollup + a shed load of updates. This can be intergrated into your very own Windows 2000 disk as well using nlite

Yes it is possible to update win2000 to sp4 + rollup pack. but it leave some realy nasty stuff (kernel mode driver's and other)

Id realy cecomend instead using GurleMeyers (unofficial service-pack 5)

it includes well over 400+ hotfixes and probebly even about a 100 that MS dint release to the public,

(it will work on ALL - 'US/English only versions' of windows 2000 profesional and server)
