Now when i boot my system up it says PRomise Inc ete Detects SATA HDD 199GBs ete but it wont show up? i have downloaded and installed about 300 drivers this week to get it to work but it wont i have all my hard drives up except for this one hard drive plugged into the promise build in connection has anyone got an idea or had the same problems? this is very important Edited October 23, 2005 by Killer Potato
rikgale
If you are not running the disk as a RAID array, then you need to go into the BIOS and tell the promise chip to run in IDE mode, the disk should then show up in windows. Should be under advnaced chipset options or something like that. Have a poke about, you'll know it when you see itHTHRik
