Messed up folder security

Featured Replies

shouldnt have touched it. Anyways i couldn't access my folder at all after toying with the Security option of my folder. I have set all the Full control for the permission but i still couldn't access my folder.

In the security advanced tab,

Of permission tab;

admin, everyone, user has full control but <not inherited>

the rest of group or user name are inherited from D:\

i still can't access my folder.

Is there anyway i could reset my folder back to default?

My assignments are all in it

There isn't sufficient info here to know what exactly is going on but as a guess I'd just go back to the Security tab, under Group or user names, add your own account name back to the ACE, with Full control allowed.

Or in the Advanced tab > Owner > Change owner to: your name (=retake ownership).
