A:/ Drive (Floppy) Activates When Deleting a File... Help!

I can't recall when this started happening, but everytime I select a file and try to either right click or delete a file in Windows Explorer, my A:/ drive activates / searches / starts even though there is nothing in the drive and i am not accessing it.

Can anyone tell me what to do about this problem?

Any suggestions / help would be greatly appreciated.

p.s. my O/S is 98SE.

Put a disk in and then do the above. See if it fixes it after that.
