cumminbk Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I have heard that oobeinfo.ini goes it the I386 folder of your XPCD. I have also been told it goes in OEM\$$\System32\oobe or something. The reason i ask is i an unable to get all the settings in my oobe to work properly. I want the Automatic updates screen to be skipped during setup (and automatic updates disabled). Where do you guys place your oobeinfo.ini file in your CD?
MHz Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 My Oobe is in $OEM$\$$\System32\oobe and works fine for user creation.Automatic updates can be handled in your Winnt.sif.
Synapse Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 the guide says "Once you have finished editing the file, save it in $OEM$\$$\system32 and you're done."however... the correct place to put it is at: $OEM$\$$\system32\oobei've looked into it and use it and it works perfect.
