rotomme Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 How do you give a user local admin rights on a domian controller?
chilifrei64 Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 There is no such thing as local admin rights on a domain controller. To modify settings on a domain controller you need domain admin privledges. Now.. through Group Policy and User rights assignments you can give specific users specific rights to do the things that you want them to have.. Otherwise.. to answer your question.. there is no such thing as local admin on a domain controller
rotomme Posted October 19, 2005 Author Posted October 19, 2005 What if you only want to give that person admin access to only that domain controller and not the whole domain?
InTheWayBoy Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Then you would probably need to look into "Delegating Control"...I don't know if you can key in on just a single computer, but you probably can. I don't use that enough to help, but a google should give you enough to get started.
