Drive default action

All of a sudden the default action for my local drive D has changed from Open to Autoplay.

It is very irritating to close the dialog box asking for the autoplay file, right clicking the mouse & selecting explore in stead of plain vanilla middle button configured as double click.

Searched through the registry but did not find anything.

Can someone help ?

First see if there's an autorun.inf file in the root of D.

Yes there was but deleting it did not help.

I searched some more and found a vb script by Doug Knox for resetting the default action for all drives/folders to open. Once I ran the script & rebooted the pc evrything started working normally.

Um... while a simple search revealed http://www.dougknox.com/, a search for various combinations of "default", "action", "drive" did not. If not a direct "deep" link, perhaps what keywords do I need to search in addition to site:www.dougknox.com

I mean lots of cool stuff there.. (indirect thanks for the new site), but there are lots of cool stuff there.
