gamehead200 Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 Guys, should I install MS's office beta 2 kit on my version of Win2k3 Server? Cuz I now have a dedicated machine to betas of any sort...40GB is plenty for now with 3 partitions....20GB, 10GB, 10GB....
DaveH Posted April 5, 2003 Posted April 5, 2003 Yes, if you read the documentation that came WITH your Beta:2 kit, it will describe that an ideal enviroment for testing out Office Systems 2003, is either Windows 2000+ServicePack3(Or Latest) or Windows Server 2003, these OS's can make high quality use of the .NET framework. Although WindowsXP has .NET framework; it leaves much to be desired in the realm of stability and .NET communication so I can only guess this is why the test group would instruct you to do this.
