maxp
Has Microsoft got scope for running Vista on laptops? What sort of quality would be received on a P-M 1.5, 512, with a low-end Gfx card (e.g.Radeon 9000 16mb)?All comments welcome
Thai3g_Eclipse
Vista is going to run slow on that spec. There are some people that has P4/AMD64 processors in excess of 3 GHz, 1GB of Ram and good video cards and are complaining about how slow the beta OS runs. I would not bother with it unless you really have to see what is so hip and cool about it. Even then, I'd wait for Beta 2 to come out.
fizban2
maxp,if you turned off alot of the graphical features you could run it on that machine with not to many problems, true the beta is slow, but it is a beta, it will get better with Beta 2, i have it running on a Dell D600 1.5 m 512 ram with a low end radeon and with most of the graphics turned to low or off (wdm) it runs fine. maybe a little slower then i would like but liveable
