Stopping firewire device by scripting

Hi folks,

I'm using a number of maxtor firewire disks for backup of a Windows 2000 Server.

The person responsible for interchanging the disks isn't a person suited for logging on to the server. So I need a way to stop the firewire drives by a schedule.

I hope some sort of scripting or simple programming could do the trick, but I know not where to start.

Any hints would be great, Thanx.

try DEVCON from Mocrosoft. Its a command line utility for enabling/diabling hardware devices.
