This tool is not quite any better. XP's own implementation is good!

Well, with MDFolder you click > Create New Folder > The form pops up, and you type a name for that Folder, then >OK.

Windows is not bad with File & Folder Tasks view, than Folder View which seems to evoke the Command shell. However it's easy to have it close the name New Folder before you have a chance to type the name, by losing focus. Then you have to Right Click on it again and select Rename.

Thanks for the info on the file size difference. I'm really suprised m$ didn't relate a F function key to create a folder. I use F2 to rename all the time. Anyone know if there exists an available function key and a program that could relate that function key to this action? Thanks in advance

Well, that gives me a function key idea to use. I have the help service nlite'd out anyways. I'll search around for how to do keyboard hook.
