AlBundy33 Posted September 29, 2005 Posted September 29, 2005 Some weeks (or months?!?) ago I wrote a message to Skype-support (and I think that I wasn't the only one) because of the "upgrade-bug". Now it should be able to do an unattended setup of skype without the upgrade-popup if a newer version is available. change: upgrade prompt supressed if installer is launched with SILENT or VERYSILENT optionhttp://www.skype.com/products/skype/windows/changelog.htmlAl
MarkCoolio Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) Yes it's little easier now to do an unattended installation. Edited October 12, 2005 by MarkCoolio
muiz Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) route.exe ?? explain pleaseAnd what about when windows starts, skype pops up each time waiting for you to fill in your account?http://www.ss64.com/nt/route.htmlStill dont get this Edited September 30, 2005 by muiz
MarkCoolio Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 (edited) route.exe comes with standard windows... just a net tcpip helper utility it just routes all requests to the skype server to your own IP address range. So the installer CAN NOT check for updates. Or in an other way said: it DOES NOT FIND any update as long as the route entry is set About the popup when starting windows: simply run this registry entry:[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]"Skype"=- Edited October 12, 2005 by MarkCoolio
