owoods Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 HII am successfully installing WinXP using RIS. It automatically rejoins itself to the domain and everything, ready to use. However, I want to take it one step further and install a few bits of software. I have written the batch file (build1.cmd) and have put it in the OEM folders etc etc etc. The files are being copied to the Hard Disk OK.However, in order for it to run I believe it needs an administrative logon. How can I script an adminitrative logon on first bootup only? This surely will let my script run and then reboot ready for the users?TIAOli
oioldman Posted September 26, 2005 Posted September 26, 2005 I use the oldest method of,in the $OEM$ folder have a runoncex.cmd file with my list of apps to install, set the path line to be somewhere on the server, (for ease under the reminst share that already exists), andthen use cmdlines.txt to call runoncex.cmd and bingo. You'll get better results to your query by looking underMSFN Forums > Unattended Windows Discussion & Support > Unattended Windows > Unattended RIS Installationwhich is found here;http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showforum=127where your question is answered also.Enjoy
