mark Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 On your CD, isn't there a DOTNETFX folder? There is an .exe inside.DL
Sadness905 Posted September 13, 2005 Author Posted September 13, 2005 thank you for being interested sir, unfortunately NO I don't have such folder on my CD ..
canuckerfan Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 create one.... and stick ryanvm's .net silent installer in there (remember to rename it to "setup" without the quotes)http://ryanvm.msfn.org/
Fox Mulder Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 (edited) Do what canuckerfan suggests. In my case I copied that DOTNETFX folder from the free SP2 CD from Microsoft and also updated a bunch of other files in my original gold XP CD with this CD. After doing a backup, that option to install framework worked. Unfortunately seems that Microsoft is not giving away this SP2 CD anymore. Edited September 13, 2005 by Fox Mulder
Sadness905 Posted September 13, 2005 Author Posted September 13, 2005 Mr. canuckerfan & Mr. Fox MulderThank you very much for being interested, I'll try it and post results.Hope this one gotta work
canuckerfan Posted September 13, 2005 Posted September 13, 2005 also note that ryan's installer has sp1 and a hotfix for .net integrated right into the installer. so once it's installed, there's no need to patch it
