BeRniTo Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Hello there! I'm impressed about this forum, it's great!! I have this problem when adding users with the NET USER Method:I've created the useraccounts.cmd with this in it:net user BeRniTo passwd /addnet localgroup Administradores BeRniTo /addnet accounts /maxpwage:unlimitedEXITThe problem is that after installing Windows, only the Administrator account appears on the logon screen, and also my account doesn't appear in the User Accounts window. The only way I can access to it is by doing the CTRL + ALT + SUPR (twice) key combination on the Logon Screen and by loging from there. What's wrong? Is it hidden somehow?Thank you very much and excuse me for my english, i'm from Uruguay. Cheers,BeRniTo.
Asin Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 Is "Administradores" a valid group name in your version of Windows? That is, are you using some sort of localized version of Windows?
BeRniTo Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 I'm using a spanish version. Administradores in spanish means Administrators. What could the problem be? Cheers,BeRniTo.
Asin Posted September 12, 2005 Posted September 12, 2005 I know that, but is the group name Administradores?
BeRniTo Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 Yes it is, but... now I'm thinking... if I want to install something through my account, I can't... so it means that I'm not an Administrator...? But... if I add an user through cmd in the Administrator account, I have to put:NET LOCALGROUP Administradores BeRniTo /ADDIf I try with Administrators, it says "The specified local group doesn't exist.".So, what's going on? Cheers,BeRniTo.
Takeshi Posted September 14, 2005 Posted September 14, 2005 What does it say in Local User and Groups about the account? When are you applying useraccounts.cmd?
BeRniTo Posted September 14, 2005 Author Posted September 14, 2005 I was mistaken. I first wrote "Administrators", and as it's a spanish version, the group "Administrators" is actually "Administradores".Sorry about that, and thank you for your help. Cheers, BeRniTo.
