ripken204 Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 i was able to get a theme installed but i have to select to use it in the appearance tab of the desktop settings. how can i just tell xp to use it when it installs? i followed the method in the UA guide.
Asin Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 Have a copy of the .theme file in $OEM$\$$\Resources\Themes, then make sure that you have the following property in the [shell] section of winnt.sif:CustomDefaultThemeFile = "%WINDIR%\Resources\Themes\MyTheme.theme"If you put the background image in the %WINDIR%\Resources\Themes folder, and then make the .theme file and save it in the same place, then it usually works for the background among other things.
ripken204 Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 hmm.. i thought i had it in there but its not, i made a few different UA's lately and i guess i didnt copy over the winnt.sif from the other one to my new one
