wlandymore Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 I am trying to make an unattend install on a DVD with all the security and hotfixes and Office 2003. I followed the guide and everything works except for the install of Office 2003.After the hotfix integration, etc. I did the office install with the /a and ran through that. Then I added:ECHO.ECHO Installing Office 2003 ProfessionalECHO Please wait...start /wait %systemdrive%\install\Applications\Office2003\setup.exe TRANSFORMS=Unattended.MST /qb-to the unattend.bat file I have in the i386 directory. What am I missing or doing wrong here?
evilvoice Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 did you make unattended.mst? You have to use office resource kit to buil the transform file
wlandymore Posted September 8, 2005 Author Posted September 8, 2005 yeah, I have the mst file named unatteded.mst in:C:\XPCD\$OEM$\$1\install\Applications\Office2003
cyberloner Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 looks fine to me...i think ya office 2003 setup files... got problem...recreat it and see how...
DL. Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 Are you sure your setup-file is named "Setup.exe" and not "Setuppro.exe", "SetupStd.exe" or similar? Is the path to the file correct?Change the name in the path if incorrect (do not rename the file).
evilvoice Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 i dont deal with any of that...i edited setup.ini in the setup folder and i have it run the transforms and some other stuff so all I have to do is run setup.exe with no switches.
Noise Posted September 8, 2005 Posted September 8, 2005 You're supposed to run setup /a BEFORE you slipstream the hotfixes. Hotfixes will only slipstream into "Administrative Installation Points".
wlandymore Posted September 9, 2005 Author Posted September 9, 2005 I'm talking about the hotfixes for windows, not Office 2003.I don't have anythnig slipstreamed into that. I'm just trying to get office to install but it won't.
Zxian Posted September 9, 2005 Posted September 9, 2005 When are you trying to install Office? is it after Windows has installed (after Windows says "Applying your settings", or at T-12?If it's the latter, you may need to use Nankai's OfficeExec to get that install to work.
wlandymore Posted September 12, 2005 Author Posted September 12, 2005 thanks, I'll give that a shot.and yes, it was at the T-12 part....
