WMP9 has trouble playing mpegs...

hey peeps, I was wondering if anyone knows why a simple mpeg will not play on wmp9 but will play on the divx player, these files are not divx, just regular mpeg format.

When i open the file it either shows "playing" on the bottom but the time bar does not move OR I get the audio with no video. I installed a video codec but that didnt seem to work out. any ideas? any recomended codec pack?

Let`s copy the *.dll(s) of codec to %System Root%/system32 (for 2000/XP) or %System Root%/system (for 9x/Me).
