Bad boy Warrior
GuysI installed VS 2005 (trial) on two seperate PCs to see what they were like performance wise using a operating system on the server. Both using the same .VHD file (as in the operating system) at the same location. One runs fine the other comes up with the follwing error when i try to Create a virtual disk -"The virtual hard disk could not be created. The item "\\Server\XP\Windows XP SP2.vhd" cannot be used because you do not have sufficient access rights."I have access to this folder as the same folder has the same settings on and is used on the first pc with same secuirty rights etc (running as an admin) but the second machine has the error constantly. I recreated another folder and again 1st pc is fine in creating a virtual disk but the 2nd is bringing up the above error. I can access the folder using Network Places. So i reinstalled the operating system and guess what? same problem - event logs dont mention anything. I have created another VHD file on the network and still cant access it (with full security rights) Copied it locally onto the hard drive and it works (but i need it to be working from the network share)So im lost to what i can do next as ive run out of ideas. Thanks for any help in advance.
