MrPhred Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 Is there any way to rename the WINDOWS dir to "Windows" so its not in all caps. I know its nitpicky but it just looks so ugly next to the other folders on C. I tried changing the entry in nLite but it didn't work. Should I just hunt through the registry and chance all keys I find in all caps?
chilifrei64 Posted August 25, 2005 Posted August 25, 2005 The only thing I can think of is this:Open the registry and find this key:HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AdvancedChange or add the Value name: "DontPrettyPath", Data Type: REG_DWORD, Value: 1 to leave case as entered.Unsure as to if this works with Windows system files and folders.....
