alienmind Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 helloha boys & gals,i have a bizar issue with win2k3 SP1 ...there are some progy's that just dont start, that means, i am clicking on the icon that launches them and ... NOTHING ... NADA ... BLANK ...i have disabled DEPtried in safe modeterminated every other app that i could think of......NNNNNNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ..... the installation process of those progy's is fine 100%, no complaints whatsoever,but when i try to run them ... my desktop dont even blink ... TOTAL ignore of me in winxp thay DO launch & run WTF is going on ??? how can i overcome this ... thing bizaro ? thank you

alienmind Posted August 24, 2005 Author Posted August 24, 2005 (edited) well, there are several different prog'svarious games from disney ( the last one im fighting with is Lilo & Stitch ), reflexive or blitz games and some other i dont recall ( deleted them )skype and netlimiter beta 1 had the same issue until i turned off DEP completely in BOOT.INIthose games and some other apps act as if DEP is still on somehow but it is TOTALY disabledALL my motherboard & vga & sound & network & whatever drivers are up to date to the last bit, also the bioss are the newestat first i thought that there might be some HW issues so i tried different motherboards and RAMs and HDs and VGAs combination to no avail ...the bottem line is that this bizaro is win2k3 Specific and NOT app related since the same app works in winxp sp1 or sp2 Edited August 24, 2005 by alienmind
