Silent decompress Winrar self extractor archive

Hi,

I have a .exe archive created using WINRAR.

Now how to decompress it into a directory using the command line in silent mode? Any switches I can use. Also do I need to install winrar on a machine that I am decompressing it into??

In sfx settings use silent mode.

And u don't need winrar to install sfx.

WinRAR supports the /S switch for silent extraction. This does seem to fail if the archive is already set for silent extraction.
