Zxian Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hehe... yup. It's the same argument that people gave when XP came out... and I've run XP on the bare minimum requirements without any problems whatsoever. Microsoft was giving the "recommended" specs if you wanted to have all the fancy GUIs and such...
Biohead Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I bet I could lower my CPU to 300mhz in my power setting option in the BIOS, and it'll still run!! I'll tell you the result in a bit.
Biohead Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 (edited) Wowza... it DOES work and no noticable slowdown!!! Well, it is noticable but its definately usable. No slower than ME anyway! Edited August 23, 2005 by Biohead
Zxian Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Hehe... nice. Like I said, that's probably because the GUI is handled by the graphics card, so there's more CPu power for everything else. Can't stop progress.
war59312 Posted August 24, 2005 Posted August 24, 2005 I'd say at least 10% faster on same hardware for reasons mentioned above plus a few others. Though Id say that all depends on your hardware class.Anyways Vista for me at least boots 15% faster than XP. That is to the logon screen. Cant test past that since I cant login yet.
