Im running Outlook 2002 on 5 different computers via a server running Microsoft Exchange Network. When I assigned delegate acces to four of them, there was no fight. However, one of them will not let me assign delegate access no matter what I do. I have tried using the add-in manager to set up the delegate option, but it doesnt do anything. I cannot see the delegates tab in options, nor can I see it in the inbox options. I am trying to assign delegate access for read access to the inbox, and read, edit, modify access to the calendar. Anyone have any bright ideas? Cause im tapped out. Thanks

Could it be that there's a bug in Outlook for delegates? Because we've assigned a 4th person as a delegate, taken them off and now Outlook refuses to remove them from the delegate list. Also, we can't seem to add another delegate in...

Unfortunately I can't add here the solution, just a similar problem (and a partial workaround)

We are using Exch2k3 with OL2K3.

Pbm nr. 1:

User has delegated access to two colleagues. Now she couldn't take that access away by Tools > Options > Delegates. A workaround for this was to take away the permissions via File > Folder > Properties > Permissions. The name still did appear under Delegates, but the folders became invisible. This is far from a perfect solution however...

Pbm nr. 2:

There is a specific mailbox on the network to which nobody can grant any access rights for his own calendar. If I go to Tools > Options > Delegates in the mailbox which wants to grant access (mailbox A) and add the name of the mailbox to which permissions should be given (mailbox B ) then initially it seems like everything is fine. However if I leave the delegates menu, the entry in mailbox B is just gone. Same pbm occurs if I try to add permissions via File > Folder > Properties > Permissions

I'm just standing there and looking and am confused...:blink:

My possibilities are unfortunately limited, because we have only access to the desktops (with Outlook - this is with local admin rights) but none to the servers (handled by a different company and what they are doing is just like mess :(
