luma Posted August 22, 2005 Share Posted August 22, 2005 Ugh... same issue here. I can no longer install any windows updates. I've run across suggestions to delete/rename WINDOWS\System32\CatRoot2, but that hasn't helped at all. 1boredguy Posted August 23, 2005 Author Share Posted August 23, 2005 I fixed it. This is how the problem came: It came from an unattended installation CD I made. I integrated Ryan's VM update pack with nLite 1.4 (old integration). This is how i solved it: re-install with a CD that doesn't have the update pack integrated.
