1heavyd Posted August 15, 2005 Share Posted August 15, 2005 I use Excel 2002 on my desktop (using Win Me) that has been recently upgraded from Win 98 to Me. I don't have any problems with my desktop. I bought a used laptop that was using Win 98 and upgraded it to Win Me also. I installed Excell 2002 but whenever I try to open it I get an error message that says "The program was improperly shut down the last time and an error has occurred in the EXCEL.EXE file and the program will now close". The system will then freeze up and will nto allow me to shut the system down except by turning the computer off. Can someone help me. Also the system restore is inoperable.
