corrupt file

I am trying to load windows xp professional , but I am getting an error message that m:\I386\winnt32.exe file is corrupt and needs to be reloaded. I am truly computer illiterate and do not know where to begin. Please help. Thanks

is this during installation or after installation?

is this the original CD or a repackaged cd

Nlite or anything special with the CD?
