Laffo Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 I have done a few unnattended setups before and they have been fine.Today i got a sata drive for my AN8 Ultra and have been trying to install windows on it.I made a SP2 cd with the nvatabus drivers as shown hereIt goes ok but every now and then a box comes up telling me that a windows system file has been replaced, insert xp cd to fix it. I do this but it keeps on coming back. Then windows takes ages on the blue bar boot up stage and when it finally gets past that i just get a black screen with a message box to the effect of "KBDUS.dll corrupted" and it goes no further. I tried copying the file back under safe mode but it still doesnt work.I reformatted again and exactly the same thing happened! It seemed to be after i installed battlefield 2 but that might not have been it...Hope someone can help me
jbm Posted August 10, 2005 Posted August 10, 2005 Did you download the nforce3 drivers instead of the nforce4 ones?I use that method on an nforce3 board and it works for me.And if your using raid you need to integrate nvraid all so.
Laffo Posted August 11, 2005 Author Posted August 11, 2005 I downloaded nForce4_amd_6.66_winxp2k_international.I think that somehow i have got a virus as i just had the RPC shutdown timer come on (manage to boot from last known good configuration).Bit odd...
