Help in 16-bit applications

Alsalamu aliku everyone.

there is a problem when trying to run 16-bit programs in windows xp. It does not run and windows display this error message

file.exe is not a valid win32 application

a pic for the error message in the attachments.

please help me is there away to run 16-bit applications in windows xp or 2000.

this error isn't saying that the application is 16-bit as far as i under stand it. If it was it would run. What it IS more likely saying, is that the exe is corrupted.

Btw, as far as i can remember seeing GTA2 is looked 3D using directx? And it's not that old... seems to me it is a win32 app.

thanks Davor for replying but this error message appear with alot of applications and this applications run perfictly under windows 98/Me the problem is with windows xp i cann't run this applications on it.
