How to find new software to try?

I always wanted to "be in touch" about new software, and it was easy in days back then. But now there are tons of new programs every day, you can sink in this information sea.

Then I thought, I need a service where everybody lists programs he uses, and I will be able to see most popular soft in various categories. But alas - I did many Google searches and found nothing.

So I ended by making such service by myself

I love softpedia you have every day update, you can class software in freeware/shareware filtering, you have user rating and staff rating, and many hard to find or linux software.

Before I was using tucows, now I have change for it
