army20 Posted August 7, 2005 Posted August 7, 2005 I've created myself a user account witch is member of the local administrators group but the account created is restricted, I cannot disable network connection or install apps. Also I cannot access data that is permited for administrators.
BRODEL Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I'm going through this as well. I'm sure there's a way around it. I just went to add a dialup connection to my laptop and I couldn't do it unless I logged out and back in as the built in administrator account. I like this from a security point of view IF you can do something (like the run as command) to get around it for certain things like this. Kind of like how linux will ask for root authentication when you do something like run the control panel.
