wwgolfer Posted July 29, 2005 Posted July 29, 2005 I've recently gotten a new computer and with it, new software.I'm using Windows XP and Outlook and more times than not, when I try to send e-mail, I get "Recipient address rejected: Relay access denied" message.Has anyone experienced a similar problem. The addresses I am using are good, but I keep getting this message.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
duomenox Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 I don't know if this is the right spot to get the best answer. Are you using a Cable ISP? If so, you HAVE to use their SMTP gateway. Call the ISP and ask them to help you set up your outgoing SMTP server. Some ISPs require you log in to their SMTP server to send mail, they should walk you through it if that is the case.Hope that helps.
