chilifrei64 Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Group policies allow you to remotely configure thousands of machines with a flip of a switch basically. You can change/modify the settings without having to deploy a new profile. Group policy helps secure desktops/servers on the Computer level and the User level. Honestly.. Group Policies and profiles are completely different entities of their own. Instead of going way indepth about what can be done with Group Policies I would suggest doing some reading.. Basically. Group policies allow you to control workstations in an Enterprise enviroment. A profile is a user object that can be edited.I honestly cant even begin to get into the differences. I would suggest doing some reading on Group Policies..
