AIMBOT Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 Hey,I'm in the middle of creating an XPSP2 unattended CD, and I readingAbout replacing shell32.dll. I was wondering if I could at all replaceExplorer.exe with my own RE version? It works fine, just I don't know howTo get it on the CD?Could I use the $OEM$\$$ folder to replace it?Cheers!
Charmin Deluxe Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 just copy your explorer.exe into the i386 folder and delete the explorer.ex_. but be aware of hotfixes that install a new version of the explorer.exe otherwise you will loose your re version (wtf is re version?)
Martin Zugec Posted July 28, 2005 Posted July 28, 2005 You dont need to delete and take care of hotfixes... There is Shell= option in Win.ini AFAIR.
