sven
i have a compaq (if you havent figured that out, then read the titles) and they give you a restoer cd, to return your computer to its original state from when you bought it. now, what i want to do it make that completely unattended, and install extra programs.i would install it directly from a cd, but using the retore cd installs 3 cds of extra applications (some of which i use, some of which i dont) that would come in handy. now, i know that it copys everything onto the computer when you put the cds, and then when you restart it does all teh installing and brings you to the windows welcome screen. if i were to use an unattended windows xp cd, would it fill everything else out, or completely crash my computer?restore cd works like this:insert os diskcopyinsert supplementary coftware diskscopy (there are 3)please wait as windows reboots (or something like that)any ideas would help edit: i know what i'll do, just use the unattended cd as the os, and make a seperate cd with all the programs installed silently Edited July 26, 2005 by sven
