Orsi
hey there, I just finished a theme (visual style + icons + pointers), configured WINNT.SIF to set it as the default theme, although after the XP first logon only the new icons and pointers are correct, the visual style XP uses is Windows Classic. All the VS files are in the correct folders as well the .theme config...what can be going wrong? ceerp
I can almost guarantee that you haven't patched the themeui.dll file. Microsoft don't like people having nice looking themes so the uxtheme file prevents themes from being applied unless they are from Microsoft! There are links in other threads where you can get a patcher to modify the file. I use nlite to do it so don't know much about the patcher. If you don't use nlite then patch the file (in system32), compress it (makecab uxtheme.dll) and put it into I386 and rebuild - I'm sure you'll be pleased! n7Epsilon
Don't forget to MODIFYPE it first, or use JCarle's compression bin to compress and it will do that for you...
