safe mode help

everytime i try to run in safe mode i press enter on safe mode and then it loads a bunch of files and stops at mup.sys then it says press esc to cancel loading of (filename).sys (the file names has a bunch of numbers in it) does anyone know how i can fix this? then it just stops safe mode doesnt load and the computer doesnt load anymore files either

try renameing that file in question and then try to go to safe mode again and let me know what happens

try entering safe mode using msconfig

start>run>(type msconfig in command box)toggle over to boot.ini untick everything except safe mode.

U would also try to rename that file in recovery consone if it keeps faing. But it might be a needed file. How long have you waited. Sometimes I have seen safe mode take 10 minutes to load.
