barrya Posted November 8, 2001 Posted November 8, 2001 i have xp. i have a kenwood ucr420 cdr and a yamaha 4282 cdr/w and both drivers are not digital according to my system. as a result, they both run very slow and as a result it takes about 4 hours to back up a cd. i also have an epson stylus color 600. the driver that came with xp is a esc/p2. again, my printer runs reaaaall slow and i was wondering if it is the driver or a cmos thing. please help
Guest aMb Posted November 8, 2001 Posted November 8, 2001 Hmmmm, no drivers for CD devices, you could try updating the firmware, which supplies information for the drivers.Try looking at the DMA settings, and no idea why it takes 4 hours to backup a CD, LOL :WTF?: Are you using Windows applet for CD recording by any chance?Epson released drivers for my 860 which are compatible with XP, otherwise just grab 2000 drivers and they will work fine.aMb
Guest LouCypher Posted November 9, 2001 Posted November 9, 2001 Go here to look for firmware updates for your drives:h*tp://perso.club-internet.fr/farzeno/firmware/
