BombaTwist Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 If cooling is a big issue water cooling is the way to go. kits are available online<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I think they are too expensive X_XWater cooling, bah! Yeah, that's be very convenient for him to drag that stuff to a lan party, now wouldn't it? I recently got This Antec Case, which comes with a really good PSU. It's got a 120mmin the back and allows for an optional 80mm fan in the front. A friend of mine has 8 fans in his PC. Water cooling has a lot of disadvantages, especially leakage. Get Panaflo or Zalman fans, they're the best. The new Antec cases are known for being cool and quiet. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>i dont go to any lan parties because im not old enough yet, =/. but if i do go i would just buy a shuttle pc =). but anyways, can that case you posted hold microATX mobos? This Looks like a fine case
Zxian Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 Yes, the Antec case can hold an mATX motherboard (it's deisgned for and ATX, but they'll both work).I'd go with the Antec case as well. I've got the same one (I actually recommended it to Jeremy), and it's very good for ventilation and quietness. It's got more drive bays than you can shake a stick at (4x5.25" - 2x3.5" internal - 2x3.5" external) and comes with a 350W power supply (which should do you just fine for most computers - its an Antec PSU after all).
BombaTwist Posted July 20, 2005 Author Posted July 20, 2005 (edited) hmm, ill keep that antec case in mind and think about it. by the way if i do buy that case, i also have a question on some plugs. there is a picture below and i circled the part i needed help with. the question is where would i plug it on the mobo? or do i connect it come where else? <3 NewEgg <--same case but cheaper Edited July 20, 2005 by BombaTwist
Zxian Posted July 20, 2005 Posted July 20, 2005 First off... the price is probably about the same (NewEgg lists prices in USD, the NCIX link gives CAD).As for the cables, those are for the power buttons and LEDs in the front of the case. There's also a cable for the fron USB ports if your motherboard or USB card supports it. You should look at your motherboard manual for more information as to where everything plugs in.

Chances are they'll have a PDF of the manual. As for modding the case - I've never done it, but from what I've heard, you can do just about anything - add lights, windows, other flashy stuff. All those are "mods". I like the straight-up black look of my case though.
