Please can someone help. I have removed as much of the Start, All Programs that I need to using group policy. Now I need to remove all of Start, All Programs, Accessories apart from the Accessibility menu. i have done registry scans and all sorts and I am still drawing a blank.

I do not want to remove the prorams, I just need to remove the links from the menu.

Does anyone have any clues about this or any direction that they can point me in?

Not all of them. You try finding the one for Program Compatibility wizard!

%UserProfile%\Start Menu\Programs\Accessories\Program Compatibility Wizard.lnk

Takeshi is correct. There is no shell folders in start menu\programs. So scanning the registry would come up with nothing. Just create a script to remove them.

The reason you might have missed it is because there are two separate folders containing the links that appear on the start menu:

%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs

AND

%systemdrive%\Documents and Settings\%username%\Start Menu\Programs

* %systemdrive% is usually 'C:' but you can copy and paste and windows

should understand the '%systemdrive%'

<edit> i found "Program Compatibility Wizard.lnk" in the second one (as suggested by MHz).
