preload music

does anyone know how to preload music on to a page?

I would use Flash to preload the music. If you don't own flash, you may want to buy a cheap flash creation tool such as Swish or you may want to look through the programs listed at Flash Magazine.

I would recommend reading this article. It seems to cover what you want to do and it gives some recommendations for programs to use.
