Crispy Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 Ok ... I have been searching my a** of for som e decent info on this ... can't find any!I have a 256MB Performance DDR400 module. The max I have been able to reach is 420Mhz!! The question then goes: Will I be able to overclock it more if I upped the voltage? ... I nkow that is the case with CPUs, but I never tried it with ram. And what about the heat??? ... I have a premium copper heatspread on them so that should keep em' cool ... but my concern really is, what is the max voltage that I can give this baby?? ... with it still being safe that is ...
XPerties Posted January 26, 2003 Posted January 26, 2003 yes you can up it, I do it on all my boards for the ram...as far as how high, well thats different for every chip. Muskin i can go extremely high but other ive done I could do much. You ll have to try it and when you get a error on boot up or after boot up you get frezzes then you know youve gone to high
