Excell Issue

Please can someone help

I had hundreds of costings on spreadsheets on my laptop all with £x.00 format for the totals.

Friday PM every spead sheet I open has all the quote with costs but the . has changed to what I can only describe as a = sign but the two lines are spaced apart like square box with a top and bottom but no sides

I tried to copy one over but when you copy it the £xxx comes up but no .00

can someone tell me please what I have Done
